Upon arrival in Entebbe, settle into your accommodation before beginning the expedition with birding in the renowned Mabamba Wetland on Lake Victoria. A traditional canoe excursion through extensive papyrus channels offers excellent opportunities to search for the legendary Shoebill, one of Africa's most iconic birds. Other notable species include African
Jacana, Blue-breasted Bee-eater, Malachite Kingfisher, Papyrus Gonolek, White-winged Warbler, Goliath Heron, African Pygmy Goose, Lesser Jacana, Swamp Flycatcher among others.
Continue to Mpanga Forest Reserve and Mabira Forest, with lunch enroute, where the towering rainforest canopy supports an impressive diversity of forest birds including Nahan's Francolin, Forest Wood Hoopoe, Yellow-spotted Barbet, African Dwarf Kingfisher, Blue-throated Roller, Cassin's Hawk-Eagle, White-bellied Kingfisher, Green Hylia, Purple-headed Starling, and many colorful forest sunbirds. Retire to your accommodation at the end of the day.

After an early morning breakfast, travel west to Kibale Forest, one of East Africa's richest tropical forests. Morning and afternoon birding excursions target Green-breasted Pitta, African Pitta (seasonal), Black Bee-eater, Blue-headed Bee-eater, Yellow-rumped Tinkerbird, Dusky Crimson wing, African Broadbill, Brown-chested Alethe, Western Nicator, Grey Parrot, Crowned Eagle, and numerous forest hornbills.
Explore the famous Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary where papyrus specialists and woodland birds' flourish. Target species include White-spotted Flufftail, Great Blue Turaco, Joyful Greenbul, Hairy-breasted Barbet, White-tailed Ant Thrush, Yellow-billed Barbet, Buff-spotted Woodpecker, and Black-and-white Casqued Hornbill. Dinner and overnight as we prepare for the following day.

Semuliki National Park
Semuliki represents Uganda's only true lowland Congo rainforest and introduces many West African bird species absent elsewhere in East Africa. Search for Congo Serpent Eagle, Nkulengu Rail, White-crested Hornbill, Piping Hornbill, Black Dwarf Hornbill, Lyre-tailed Honeyguide, Capuchin Babbler, Yellow- throated Cuckoo, Red-billed Dwarf Hornbill, Long-tailed Hawk, Maxwell's Black Weaver, and Chestnut-breasted Negrofinch.
Evening birding may reveal nocturnal species including African Wood Owl and Vermiculated Fishing Owl. Dinner and overnight!

Birding around Kazinga Channel, Mweya Peninsula, Maramagambo Forest, and Ishasha targets Saddle-billed Stork, African Skimmer, Martial Eagle, Pink-backed Pelican, Verreaux's Eagle-Owl, White-winged Tern, African Fish Eagle, Papyrus Canary, Black-rumped Buttonquail, Grey-headed Kingfisher, Temminck's Courser, and numerous weavers.
Boat cruises along the Kazinga Channel offer exceptional opportunities for water bird photography. Retire to your
