Day 2

Arusha- Tarangire National Park

Arusha- Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, depart by 4x4 safari vehicle for Tarangire National Park, roughly a 2-hour drive from Arusha. Tarangire is famous for having one of the largest elephant populations in Tanzania, along with iconic baobab trees that dot the golden savannah. Spend the day on game drives along the Tarangire River, watching for lions, giraffes, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, and over 550 recorded bird species. Enjoy a packed lunch box at a designated picnic site within the park, surrounded by the sounds of the bush. Return to the lodge in the late afternoon. Dinner at the lodge. Overnight at Eileen.

Depart after breakfast for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the Ngorongoro Crater the world's largest intact volcanic caldera. Descend roughly 600 meters onto the crater floor for a full-day game drive across open grassland, swamps, and forest patches. This self-contained ecosystem holds one of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa, offering excellent chances to spot the Big Five, including the elusive black rhino, alongside hippo pools and flamingo-lined lakes. Stop for a lunch box at a scenic picnic site overlooking the crater floor before continuing your game drive. Ascend back to the crater rim in the late afternoon. Dinner at the lodge. Hadzabe Cultural Encounter

After breakfast, travel to the region surrounding Lake Eyasi to meet the Hadzabe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in the world, whose traditions date back tens of thousands of years. Join the Hadzabe on a traditional hunting excursion using bows and arrows, and learn about their unique click-based language, foraging techniques, and deep knowledge of the bush. You may also have the chance to visit the nearby Datoga tribe, known for their blacksmithing and beadwork. Enjoy a lunch box at a picnic site during the excursion. Return to Arusha in the evening. Dinner at the lodge. Overnight in Arusha.

Take a guided walk to the falls, with an optional stop at a local coffee farm to learn about traditional Chagga coffee-growing and roasting methods. Enjoy a lunch box at a picnic site near the falls. In the afternoon, continue to Chemka Hot Springs (also known as Kikuletwa), a crystal-clear natural spring fed by underground streams and framed by towering fig trees perfect for a relaxing swim to unwind.
