Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins in the morning with a departure from Arusha toward Tarangire National Park, one of northern Tanzania's most beautiful wildlife destinations. The drive takes you through the changing landscapes of northern Tanzania, passing local villages, farms, and countryside before arriving at the park.

Tarangire is particularly famous for its large elephant population, ancient baobab trees, and the seasonal Tarangire River, which provides an important source of water for wildlife during the dry season. The park supports an impressive variety of animals, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, impalas, warthogs, and numerous bird species. Large herds of elephants are often seen moving between the baobab trees and water sources, while predators may be spotted resting beneath trees or following herds of prey.

Later, leave the park and proceed to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Main Destination:

Lake Eyasi is located in the Great Rift Valley and is surrounded by communities with distinctive traditions and ways of life. The area is particularly known for cultural encounters with the Hadzabe and Datoga communities.

Today is dedicated to an authentic cultural experience. You will have the opportunity to learn about traditional lifestyles, customs, food, hunting techniques, crafts, and the relationship between local communities and their environment. The experience is designed to encourage respectful interaction and cultural understanding rather than simply observing from a distance.

After the cultural experience, continue toward the Karatu area, located near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy dinner and relax at your accommodation in preparation for the following day's crater adventure.

Lake Manyara

Lake Manyara

Enter the park and begin your final game drive. The lush groundwater forest can provide opportunities to see elephants, monkeys, baboons, and other forest-loving wildlife. As you move into more open areas, watch for giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, warthogs, and antelopes.

Lake Manyara is also famous for its diverse birdlife. Depending on the season, the lake and wetlands may attract large numbers of flamingos and other waterbirds. Your guide will help identify the different species and explain their role within the ecosystem.

The park's varied habitats make the game drive an excellent final opportunity to experience Tanzania's wildlife. Keep an eye out for predators such as lions and leopards, although sightings are naturally dependent on wildlife movements and conditions on the day.

After the game drive, exit Lake Manyara National Park and begin your journey toward your departure point.
