Arrival in Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by your personal guide and transferred to your luxury hotel in Arusha. Enjoy the scenic drive through the lush foothills of Mount Meru and take in your first views of Tanzania.

On arrival, check in and settle into your hotel after your international flight. The rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy the surroundings. In the evening, enjoy a delicious welcome dinner while your guide briefs you on the safari ahead, marking the beginning of your Tanzanian adventure.

Scenic flight to Central Serengeti

After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for your scenic flight to Serengeti National Park. Enjoy the views as you fly over Tanzania’s beautiful landscapes before landing at Seronera Airstrip.

Your safari guide will meet you on arrival, and you’ll begin your first game drive as you make your way through the Serengeti towards your luxury lodge or tented camp. Keep an eye out for lions, elephants, giraffes and other wildlife along the way. During the migration season, you may also have the chance to see large herds of wildebeest and zebras. Arrive at your lodge for lunch and some time to relax before your afternoon game drive.

Game drive Central Serengeti

After breakfast, set out on a full-day game drive through the Serengeti, exploring its open plains, acacia woodlands and rocky kopjes. With your guide, look out for lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes and other wildlife as you move through different parts of the park. If you are travelling during the Great Migration, you may also see large herds of wildebeest and zebras moving across the plains in search of fresh grazing. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your game drive through the afternoon. Return to your luxury lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands

After breakfast, begin your scenic journey from the Serengeti towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. As you leave the plains behind, enjoy the changing scenery as the open savannah gives way to greener landscapes and the rolling hills of the highlands. You may also have opportunities to spot wildlife along the way as you travel towards your lodge.

Arrive at your luxury lodge and take some time to settle in and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. With cool mountain air and beautiful views across the highlands, the evening is a chance to relax and recharge before your Ngorongoro adventure the following day.

Ngorongoro Crater and Flight back to Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. Explore the crater floor, home to a remarkable variety of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo and, with some luck, the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the crater’s beautiful scenery before ascending to the rim and taking in the views one last time.

Continue to Lake Manyara Airstrip for your scenic flight back to Arusha. On arrival, you’ll be transferred to your lodge for a relaxing evening and overnight stay, giving you time to unwind after another memorable day on safari.
