Fly from Nairobi to Samburu

Enjoy an early morning transfer from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Nairobi hotel to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Samburu. The flight departs at approximately 08:00 and arrives in Samburu at around 09:20, with a chance to enjoy spectacular views of Mount Kenya along the way.

Upon arrival, meet your private safari guide and begin your first game drive en route to your camp or lodge. After lunch and some time to relax, head out on an afternoon private game drive in Samburu National Reserve, exploring the rugged northern landscape and searching for its unique wildlife. Return to camp at sunset.

Full-Day Samburu Wildlife Experience

Start your day with an early morning private game drive in Samburu National Reserve, when wildlife is most active. Samburu is famous for its unique northern species, including the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx and long-necked gerenuk. Keep an eye out for predators such as lions, cheetahs and leopards, as well as large crocodiles along the Ewaso Nyiro River.

Return to camp for breakfast and some leisure time before enjoying lunch. In the afternoon, head out for another private game drive, exploring more of Samburu’s spectacular landscapes and wildlife before returning to camp at sunset.

Samburu to Nairobi – End of Safari

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive en route to the airstrip, providing one last opportunity to spot Samburu’s unique wildlife before your scheduled flight to Nairobi. The flight departs Samburu at approximately 12:10 hrs and arrives in Nairobi at around 13:15 hrs.

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your city-centre hotel, marking the end of your safari.

Flight:Samburu to Nairobi – approximately 1 hour 5 minutes
Safari Ends: Nairobi
