1-Day Coffee, Hot Springs & Materuni Waterfalls

• You'll be collected from the airport.

You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha in the morning by our English-speaking guide and driven to Materuni Village, home of the Chagga people. Along the way, your guide will share insights into Chagga culture, village life, and the surrounding environment.

Upon arrival, you’ll register at the village office before exploring the area and enjoying views of Mount Kilimanjaro, weather permitting. You’ll then hike to the spectacular Materuni Waterfall before returning to the village for a traditional Chagga lunch and a taste of locally brewed banana beer.

After lunch, enjoy a coffee tour and learn about the traditional process of cultivating, drying, roasting, and preparing coffee. You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in grinding the coffee beans while enjoying traditional Chagga songs and dances, making the experience both educational and memorable.

At the end of the excursion, you’ll be driven back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha.
