Begin your safari with a morning pick-up from Entebbe or Kampala by your Menlyn Tours & Travel guide. Travel southwest through Uganda’s scenic countryside towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Enjoy beautiful views of rolling hills, green plantations, villages and local communities along the way. Stop for lunch en route before continuing towards the Bwindi region. Upon arrival, check in at your mid-range lodge and relax in the peaceful forest surroundings. Spend the evening preparing for your gorilla trekking adventure the following day. Day 2

Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Cultural Experience

After an early breakfast, head to the Bwindi park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, enter the dense rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. Once located, spend a memorable hour observing the gorillas in their natural habitat and taking photographs. After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later, enjoy a Batwa cultural experience featuring storytelling, music, dance and cultural interaction. Learn about the traditions, history and former forest life of the Batwa people before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, check out and depart Bwindi for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Travel through the beautiful landscapes of southwestern Uganda, passing rolling hills, plantations, villages and local communities. Enjoy the changing scenery as you make your way towards the park. Stop for lunch along the way before continuing to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your comfortable mid-range lodge and enjoy some time to relax. The remainder of the afternoon is free for leisure at the lodge or to enjoy the surrounding environment. Have dinner and spend the night at your lodge, ready for the next day’s activities.

Morning Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Wake up early for a morning game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park. Explore the savannah plains during the cooler hours when wildlife is most active. Look out for elephants, buffaloes, lions, Uganda kobs, warthogs and other wildlife while enjoying excellent photography opportunities. Return to the lodge for breakfast and some relaxation before lunch. In the afternoon, head to the Kazinga Channel for a memorable boat cruise. Watch hippos and crocodiles in the water while elephants, buffaloes and numerous bird species gather along the shoreline. After the cruise, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Stop for lunch en route and continue your journey towards Entebbe. Depending on your departure arrangements, there may be opportunities for short comfort stops along the way. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be dropped off at your hotel, residence or Entebbe International Airport, marking the end of your memorable five-day Uganda safari.
