Depart Arusha after breakfast and set off towards Tarangire National Park, a beautiful wilderness renowned for its ancient baobabs, seasonal wetlands and impressive elephant population. Upon arrival, enter the park and begin your first game-viewing experience, navigating through open savannah and woodland habitats. During the drive, watch for large elephant families, graceful giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, buffaloes and, with some luck, predators such as lions and cheetahs. Tarangire is also an excellent destination for bird enthusiasts, with numerous species inhabiting its varied ecosystems. Day 2-3

Enjoy an early breakfast before departing Tarangire and travelling towards the remarkable Ndutu plains. The journey takes you through changing landscapes, from the wooded surroundings of Tarangire towards the elevated scenery of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and eventually the open grasslands of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. As you approach Ndutu, the scenery becomes increasingly expansive, creating the perfect setting for the Great Migration. During the calving season, enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra gather here, attracted by the nutritious short-grass plains. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodation and, depending on time, embark on an afternoon exploration around the Ndutu area, searching for wildlife and early signs of migration activity. Have an overnight stay at your camp as you await the full game drive the following day.

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive through the Ndutu region before beginning your journey towards the central Serengeti. The transition from the seasonal calving grounds to the vast central plains provides a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the diversity of Tanzania's landscapes. Along the route, keep your camera ready for encounters with resident wildlife and migrating herds. As you approach the Seronera area, the scenery opens into sweeping grasslands dotted with rocky kopjes, which provide important resting and lookout points for predators. Arrive at your accommodation later in the day and, time permitting, head out for an afternoon drive around the central Serengeti in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes and other wildlife.
