Your Tanzanian safari begins in Arusha as you depart for the beautiful Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy lunch en route before arriving in time for an afternoon game drive. Lake Manyara is one of Tanzania’s Northern Circuit gems, offering a remarkable mix of landscapes, including lush groundwater forests, open plains, wetlands, and the scenic lake. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including large herds of elephants, baboons, giraffes, hippos, and numerous bird species. Along the lake shores, you may also see spectacular flocks of pink flamingos. Lake Manyara is particularly famous for its tree-climbing lions, making a game drive here an exciting and memorable experience. Bird enthusiasts can look out for species such as Rüppell’s Griffon, Peregrine Falcons, Augur Buzzards, and Verreaux’s Eagles. After an exciting afternoon exploring the park, return to your campsite for dinner and overnight accommodation.

After breakfast at your campsite, depart for Tarangire National Park with a packed picnic lunch. Known for its magnificent baobab trees and large elephant population, Tarangire offers an exceptional wildlife experience. The Tarangire River is an important source of water and attracts large numbers of animals, especially during the dry season. During your afternoon game drive, you may encounter lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, impalas, giraffes, elands, Greater and Lesser Kudu, and Thomson’s gazelles. You may also have the opportunity to spot the rare fringe-eared oryx and a variety of colorful bird species. Tarangire is home to more than 500 recorded bird species, making it an excellent destination for both wildlife and bird lovers. After your game drive, return to your campsite for dinner and overnight accommodation.

The Serengeti is also a fantastic destination for birdwatching, with hundreds of bird species found throughout its diverse habitats, including ostriches, vultures, and various species of eagles. Enjoy game viewing as you make your way through this iconic wilderness, taking in the endless plains and spectacular scenery that have made the Serengeti one of Africa’s most celebrated safari destinations. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at your safari campsite.

After an early breakfast, depart with a packed picnic lunch for a full day of game viewing. The Serengeti offers excellent opportunities to observe wildlife in its natural environment, with every game drive bringing the possibility of exciting encounters. The park is world-famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration, although the location and timing of the herds vary throughout the year. Throughout the seasons, the Serengeti also supports an impressive population of resident wildlife, including lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs, and serval cats. Spend the day exploring the plains, enjoying spectacular landscapes, and capturing unforgettable photographs of Tanzania’s incredible wildlife. Return to your campsite in the evening for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Upon arrival in the Ngorongoro area, settle into your campsite and relax as you prepare for the following day’s crater adventure. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be at your campsite.

Day 6
Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
After breakfast, depart with a packed lunch and descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for approximately six hours of game viewing. The crater is renowned for its spectacular scenery and remarkable concentration of wildlife. Its diverse habitats include open savannah, woodlands, forests, wetlands, and highland areas, creating an ideal environment for a wide range of animals. During your game drive, look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, elands, warthogs, hippos, and other wildlife. The crater also provides an opportunity to search for the endangered black rhinoceros, while predators such as leopards and cheetahs may also be encountered. After your crater exploration, begin your journey back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable six-day Tanzanian safari.
