Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi National Park Safari

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your preferred location in Dar es Salaam at approximately 4:00 AM. Meet your professional safari driver and depart Dar es Salaam in a comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle. Enjoy the early morning drive toward Mikumi National Park as the city gradually gives way to Tanzania's countryside. Upon arrival at Mikumi, enter the park and begin your full-day game drive. Explore the open plains and surrounding landscapes while looking for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, impalas and other wildlife. Your experienced guide will help you identify animals and provide information about the park, its wildlife and natural environment. Around lunchtime, stop at a picnic site located inside the park and enjoy your packed lunch surrounded by the wilderness. After lunch, continue the game drive through the afternoon before exiting the park. Later, proceed to Camp Bastian Mikumi for dinner and a well-deserved overnight stay.

Wake up early at Camp Bastian Mikumi and enjoy breakfast before starting your final safari experience. Depart for a morning game drive in Mikumi National Park and explore areas that you may not have visited on the first day. The morning offers another opportunity to observe elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes and other wildlife in their natural environment. Continue exploring with your guide while enjoying the scenery and peaceful atmosphere of the park. Around midday, return from the game drive and have lunch before preparing for your departure. After lunch, exit Mikumi National Park at approximately 2:00 PM. Begin your road journey back to Dar es Salaam in your safari vehicle. Enjoy the countryside views along the way and take a comfortable journey back to the city. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, your driver will drop you off at your preferred location, marking the end of your 2-day Mikumi safari.
