Your Namibian adventure begins upon arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed by your private guide.
From the airport, enjoy a comfortable transfer to Windhoek, Namibia's vibrant capital. Your guide will introduce you to the country and provide an overview of the exciting journey ahead.
After settling into your accommodation, take some time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Depending on your arrival time, there may be an opportunity to explore some of Windhoek's highlights.
As evening approaches, enjoy a relaxed dinner and prepare for your journey into the Namib Desert tomorrow.
Day 2
Windhoek to the Namib Desert
Windhoek to the Namib Desert
After breakfast, depart Windhoek and begin your journey south-west towards the spectacular Namib Desert.
The drive takes you through the scenic Khomas Highlands, where rolling hills and rugged mountain landscapes gradually give way to the vast open spaces of the desert.
Along the way, your guide will introduce you to the fascinating geology, wildlife and vegetation of Namibia's dry interior.
As you approach the Namib, the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic, with expansive plains and distant mountains creating a wonderful introduction to the desert.
Arrive at the Lodge during the afternoon and settle into your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy the lodge's surroundings or take part in an optional afternoon activity.
As the sun begins to set, the desert landscape takes on warm golden and red tones, creating a beautiful first evening in the Namib.

Day 3

Rise early this morning for one of the most memorable experiences of your Namibian journey.
After breakfast, travel into the Namib-Naukluft National Park to explore the spectacular dune landscapes surrounding Sossusvlei.
Continue through the ancient sea of dunes towards Deadvlei, where the remains of ancient camel thorn trees stand dramatically against the white clay pan and towering orange dunes.
You will also have the opportunity to experience the immense scale of the dunes, including the famous Big Daddy, before continuing to Sesriem Canyon.
The canyon was formed over millions of years by the Tsauchab River and provides a fascinating contrast to the surrounding desert landscape.
After your exploration, return to the Lodge during the afternoon. Relax and enjoy the tranquillity of the desert.

Day 4
Namib Desert to Swakopmund

After breakfast, leave the Namib Desert behind and continue towards Namibia's Atlantic coast.
Your journey takes you through the small desert settlement of Solitaire, a popular stop along this scenic route. From here, continue through the dramatic landscapes of the Gaub Pass and Kuiseb Pass.
As you travel across the Namib, your guide will explain the fascinating relationship between the desert environment and the wildlife and plants that have adapted to survive here.
Eventually, the landscape changes as you approach the Atlantic Ocean and the coastal town of Swakopmund.
After checking into your accommodation, enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure. You may wish to take a stroll through town and experience Swakopmund's distinctive German colonial architecture and relaxed coastal atmosphere.

After breakfast, choose from a range of optional activities according to your interests.
A popular option is a Walvis Bay marine cruise, where you may encounter dolphins, seals, pelicans and other marine life. Alternatively, venture into the desert on a Sandwich Harbour 4x4 excursion, where towering dunes meet the Atlantic Ocean.
Other activities may include a Living Desert Tour, scenic flight, quad biking, Hot Air Ballooning or sandboarding.
Return to Swakopmund during the afternoon and enjoy some free time to explore the town, browse local shops or relax at your guesthouse.

After breakfast, leave the Atlantic coast and travel inland towards Spitzkoppe, one of Namibia's most iconic geological landmarks. Along the way, stop at the famous Zeila Shipwreck, resting along the Skeleton Coast near Henties Bay. Enjoy the opportunity to photograph this striking reminder of Namibia's maritime history, set against the dramatic Atlantic coastline.
Continue inland to Spitzkoppe, known for its towering granite peaks, ancient rock formations and spectacular desert scenery. Take time to admire the landscape and capture memorable photographs before continuing your journey towards the Etosha region.

Keep a lookout for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, springbok, oryx and, with luck, cheetahs and rhinos.
