Depart Arusha after breakfast and drive to Tarangire National Park.
Spend the afternoon exploring the park's extensive savannah and woodland areas. Look for large elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, antelope and predators.
The late afternoon is particularly rewarding as wildlife becomes more active.

Day 2
Head from Tarangire to Serengeti
Head from Tarangire to Serengeti
After breakfast, begin the scenic journey towards the Serengeti. Travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands and continue towards the Serengeti, enjoying changing landscapes along the way.
Enter the Serengeti and begin your first game drive. The afternoon gives you your first opportunity to experience the vast Serengeti plains and search for wildlife.

Serengeti safari
Wake early for breakfast before heading into the Serengeti. Spend the entire day exploring different areas of the park with your guide.
The Serengeti supports large populations of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and other herbivores, together with predators such as lions, cheetahs and leopards. Your guide will determine the day's route according to wildlife sightings and seasonal conditions.
Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing your game drive into the afternoon.

Day 4
Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast or depart after breakfast depending on wildlife activity and your preferred schedule. Continue towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with wildlife viewing along the route.
You may stop at viewpoints overlooking the Great Rift Valley and surrounding highlands.
Arrive at your accommodation in Karatu or near Ngorongoro and relax.

Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, drive to the crater descent point. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for several hours of game viewing.
Explore the crater floor while searching for lions, buffalo, elephants, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas and other wildlife. After a picnic lunch, continue the game drive before ascending to the crater rim.
Return to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and your final night.
