Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Early morning departure from Entebbe with your professional Afriquest Travels driver guide. Travel southwest through the scenic Ugandan countryside, with opportunities to stop for photographs and refreshments along the way.

Continue towards Bwindi, passing through rolling hills, local communities and beautiful landscapes. Have a stop over at the Equator and Later enjoy lunch en route before continuing to the park.

Arrive in the Bwindi area in the evening, check into your lodge and relax. Your guide will brief you about the following day's gorilla trek, including what to carry, trekking etiquette and safety guidelines.

Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience

After an early breakfast, proceed to the Rushaga Gorilla Trekking Headquarters for registration and briefing.

Meet the Uganda Wildlife Authority guides and trackers before entering the ancient Bwindi forest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family.

The trek can take several hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Once the family is located, you will spend the permitted viewing time observing their behavior, taking photographs and experiencing one of Uganda's most remarkable wildlife encounters.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.

Later, embark on an enriching Batwa Cultural Experience, offering an opportunity to learn about the traditions, heritage, history and way of life of the Batwa people while interacting with the local community.
