Transfer from Entebbe/Kampala to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, your Tavira Africa Safaris driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. You will begin the scenic journey towards southwestern Uganda, passing through rural villages, rolling countryside and changing landscapes along the way. You will have stops for refreshments and lunch before continuing into the beautiful Kigezi highlands.
In the late afternoon or early evening, you will arrive near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and check into your mid-range lodge. After the long journey, spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the following morning's gorilla trekking experience.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, your driver-guide will take you to the Bwindi park headquarters for registration and a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will then enter the rainforest with an experienced ranger-guide to search for a habituated mountain gorilla family.
The trek may take several hours depending on the gorillas' location and forest conditions. Once the gorillas are found, you will spend up to one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat, watching their interactions, feeding behavior and family relationships.
After returning from the trek, meet your Tavira driver-guide and continue to Lake Bunyonyi. Check into your lodge overlooking the lake and spend the rest of the day relaxing among the terraced hills and islands.

Lake Bunyonyi Relaxation and transfer to Entebbe/Kampala

Enjoy breakfast overlooking the peaceful waters and surrounding hills of Lake Bunyonyi. Depending on the departure time, you can enjoy a short lakeside walk or simply relax before beginning the return journey to Entebbe or Kampala.
You will travel through the beautiful landscapes of southwestern Uganda and stop for lunch along the route. A stop at the Uganda Equator can also be included for photographs and souvenir shopping before continuing to Entebbe or Kampala, where your 3-day safari ends.
