Take a train from Dar es salaam to Morogoro, then Drive to Mikumi for an exciting game drive

Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup by our professional driver, who will transfer you to the SGR Station in Dar es Salaam. From there, board the train to Morogoro, enjoying the scenic journey through the Tanzanian countryside. Upon arrival in Morogoro, you will meet our experienced safari guide, who will pick you up and drive you to Mikumi National Park.

Upon arrival, embark on an exciting full-day game drive through Mikumi’s beautiful savannahs, searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, and other fascinating wildlife. Your guide will help you spot wildlife and share insights about the park’s ecosystem.

After the game drive, you will leave the park and drive to your comfortable camp outside the park. Relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and settle in for a peaceful overnight stay.

Full-day game drive in the park

After an early breakfast at the camp, you will depart for a full-day game drive inside Mikumi National Park. Explore the park’s diverse landscapes, including open savannahs, waterholes, and hippo pools, where wildlife gathers throughout the day. Keep your eyes open for predators such as lions and hyenas, as well as large herbivores including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated location inside the park, surrounded by the beautiful wilderness. After lunch, continue your afternoon game drive, taking time to observe wildlife, appreciate the scenery, and capture memorable photographs. In the evening, leave the park and return to your camp for relaxation, dinner, and a comfortable overnight stay.

Mikumi Wildlife Escape; Half-day Safari & SGR Transfer to Dar Es Salaam

Start your final day with an early breakfast at the lodge before departing for a half-day game drive inside Mikumi National Park. Continue exploring the park’s diverse landscapes, including open savannahs, waterholes, and hippo pools, where wildlife often gathers. Keep your camera ready for opportunities to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, and, with some luck, predators such as lions and hyenas.

After your game drive, you will leave the park and be transferred to the SGR Station in Morogoro. Board your scheduled train from Morogoro back to Dar es Salaam and enjoy the scenic journey through the Tanzanian countryside.

Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, your safari comes to an end, marking the conclusion of our services. We hope you leave Tanzania with wonderful memories of your Mikumi wildlife adventure.
