Arrive at Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport at any time today, where one of our local Sisters will welcome you in the arrivals hall and accompany you on the short walk to your airport hotel.
If you arrive in time, join your fellow Sisters for an optional welcome dinner (at your own expense) and a relaxed introduction to the group. It’s the perfect opportunity to get to know the women you’ll be travelling with, share your expectations and start building connections before the adventure begins.

Day 2-4
Experience local culture at Leshiba Wilderness in the Soutpansberg Mountains
Experience local culture at Leshiba Wilderness in the Soutpansberg Mountains
Fly to Polokwane and journey north into the Soutpansberg Mountains, where a scenic 4x4 ascent leads to the secluded plateau of Leshiba Wilderness. Spend three nights in a unique art-filled villa, surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery and wildlife, with all meals included.
Enjoy a game drive across the plateau, an early morning hike exploring the region’s nature, wildlife and ancient San rock art, and a special encounter with Shandukani Joyce Mulaudzi, who will share personal stories and insights into Venda heritage and culture.
One day is left entirely open for you to shape as you wish: join an optional tour or creative workshop, connect with a local project, indulge in a spa treatment, or simply relax and soak up the tranquillity of this remarkable mountaintop retreat. Optional activities are at your own expense.

Day 5-7

After breakfast, drive back down the mountain and east towards the lowveld (around five hours, with a few memorable stops along the way).
Travelling via Elim, meet local makers including sculptor Thomas Khubayi at his village workshop and the women of Mashamba Pottery, who create their celebrated pots using traditional techniques passed down through generations. Bring some space in your bag – you may want to take something home.
By late afternoon, arrive at the Greater Makalali Private Game Reserve and settle into Xiduli Lodge, in time for your first Big Five game drive.
Enjoy 3 nights (two full days) of classic safari, with lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo, as well as cheetah and giraffe.
The safari rhythm is simple: early coffee, a morning game drive, a lazy afternoon at the lodge, then an afternoon drive with sundowners in the bush, followed by dinner around the fire. Between drives, relax by the pool or on the lodge's deck.

One final morning game drive – the bush always saves something for the last day. After breakfast at the lodge, drive to Hoedspruit for your early-afternoon flight to Johannesburg (14:30–15:30).
Please book your homeward flight no earlier than 18:30 to allow sufficient connection time.
