Drive from Addis Ababa to lake Langano via lake Ziway

Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport or your hotel and begin your scenic drive to Lake Langano, one of Ethiopia’s beautiful Rift Valley lakes. Along the way, stop at Lake Ziway to observe a variety of aquatic birds, including saddle-billed storks, African fish eagles, herons, and greater jacanas. After lunch in Ziway, continue to Lake Langano, where you can relax, enjoy the surrounding natural scenery, and swim in the lake. In the evening, enjoy dinner and a peaceful overnight stay at the lodge.

After breakfast, visit Abijatta-Shalla National Park, famous for its two alkaline lakes, open grasslands, acacia woodlands, and diverse wildlife. The park is an excellent destination for birdwatching, with opportunities to spot ostriches, gazelles, warthogs, and numerous resident and migratory bird species. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes and natural surroundings before driving back to Addis Ababa, where your two-day Rift Valley adventure concludes.
