After breakfast, meet your guide and driver at your hotel in Addis Ababa and drive to the Entoto highlands. Explore the forest trails and surrounding woodland habitats, enjoying the beautiful highland scenery while searching for Ethiopia’s endemic and highland bird species. Return to your hotel in Addis Ababa for an overnight stay.

Addis Ababa – Debre Libanos – Portuguese Bridge – Addis Ababa

Morning: Debre Libanos Monastery and Jemma River Gorge
After breakfast, depart Addis Ababa and drive north toward Debre Libanos, enjoying scenic views of the Ethiopian highlands, farmland, and traditional villages along the way. Visit the historic Debre Libanos Monastery, associated with Saint Tekle Haymanot, and learn about its religious and cultural significance. Continue to the spectacular Jemma River Gorge, where you can enjoy panoramic views and search for soaring raptors and other highland bird species.

After lunch, visit the famous Portuguese Bridge and explore the surrounding gorge in search of the endemic Gelada baboon.
