Nairobi - Mara

Upon arrival in Nairobi, meet your safari driver-guide and begin your journey to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley along the way, with a stop for photographs.

Continue to Matira Bush Camp, located in the heart of the reserve. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by time to relax and settle into camp.

In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in search of elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions and other wildlife. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Masai Mara Full day

After an early breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive across the Masai Mara's vast plains. Explore different wildlife areas with your experienced driver-guide, looking for the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve, allowing you to spend more time exploring without returning to camp during the middle of the day.

Depending on the season, you may also encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebras, particularly around the Mara River during the migration period. Your guide will focus on wildlife sightings and animal behaviour throughout the day.

Return to Matira Bush Camp in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Mara to North serengeti

Enjoy breakfast at camp before heading out for another exciting game drive in the Masai Mara. With a full day to explore, your guide can focus on areas with recent wildlife sightings and take time to observe animal behaviour.

Search for lions resting in the grass, elephants moving across the plains and, with luck, elusive leopards and rhinos. Enjoy a picnic lunch during the game drive before continuing your afternoon exploration.

Return to Matira Bush Camp for dinner and your final overnight stay in Kenya's Masai Mara.

Mara to North serengeti through Isebania Border

After an early breakfast, depart with packed boxes from the Masai Mara and drive towards the Isebania border between Kenya and Tanzania. Complete the necessary immigration and customs formalities before continuing into Tanzania.

After crossing the border, meet your Tanzanian safari team and proceed towards the North Serengeti. Enjoy views of the changing landscapes as you travel towards this renowned wildlife destination.

Depending on the border formalities, road conditions and the location of River Camp, arrival may be in the afternoon or evening. Dinner and overnight at camp.

The region is famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration, when huge herds move between Tanzania and Kenya. If your visit coincides with the migration, you may see wildebeest and zebras gathering near the river. River crossings are unpredictable and cannot be guaranteed.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your afternoon game drive in search of lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes and other wildlife.

Return to River Camp for dinner and overnight.

Spend time observing wildlife around the plains, riverine woodland and other suitable game-viewing areas. Depending on conditions, you may encounter large herds of herbivores and the predators that follow them.

Enjoy lunch during your safari day or return to camp, depending on the route. Continue with an afternoon game drive before returning to River Camp for dinner and your final night in the Serengeti.

Enjoy breakfast at camp before transferring to Kogatende Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Arusha.

If time permits and the flight schedule allows, you may enjoy a short morning game drive before departure. Board your flight and enjoy aerial views of Tanzania's remarkable landscapes on your way to Arusha.

Upon arrival, you will be picked up by the driver and drive to the hotel or continue with your onward travel arrangements, marking the end of your Kenya and Tanzania safari.
