Pick Up in Chiredzi and Road Transfer to Gonarezhou National Park

You will be picked up from Chiredzi when ever you arrive by your guide and transferred by road to Gonarezhou National Park. Once you are checked in at the entrance gate, we will drive to Chilojo Bush camp. We will arrive at camp late in the afternoon. It is possible to start in Harare or Bulawayo and transfers are at an extra cost.

Explore Gonarezhou National Park

You'll get up early and after a light breakfast, we'll head off with your guide for a full day of exploring by foot and by vehicle in the park. You can stay out all day or return to the camp for lunch. Your guide will make sure you have the best options for a great trip. We are close to the Chilojo cliffs and camped on the Rundi River. The scenery here is fantastic. The wildlife viewing is also outstanding.

Explore Gonarezhou National Park

You'll get up early and after a light breakfast, we'll head off with your professional guide for more exploring of the area. It may be in the vehicle or on foot. Our comfortable camp offers great views of the Chilojo cliffs and we have time to explore all the areas below and on top of the cliffs. There park is rich in wildlife and your private guide will share lots of information about the park, history and animals. We will have time this afternoon for an activity.

Explore Gonarezhou National Park

You'll get up early and after a light breakfast, we will head off with your guide to our new camp at Mahove tented camp. We are in a new area where we can access all the highlights such as Machiniwa pan, Tembwaharta pan and always close to the Rundi River. We will use our game-viewing vehicle to explore the area and we'll also go for walks to have a closer look at what nature has to offer.

Gonarezhou National Park

We will have another full day of exploring this enormous park. We really need many more days to explore all that there is to see but we make do with what we have. This park is well known for its large herds of elephants. The large mammal diversity is very good. Birdlife is prolific and diverse. If you want to add on more days, we can make this much longer. Other areas nearby include Gt. Zimbabwe ruins and Matobo National Park.

Explore Gonarezhou

We have our last full day to explore this rich area. Bird life is prolific. The natural pans attract animals great and small. There are other areas of interest nearby like the Gt. Zimbabwe ruins and Matobo National Park. The Mahove camp is set up on the Runde river with great river views. We access to all the great game viewing spots nearby.

We have our last breakfast in Camp. There are many transfer options out of the park. Standard is road transfer to Chiredzi. It is possible to air charter out from Chilo gorge airport to Harare or Bulawayo at extra cost.
