Day 1

Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park

This morning, we'll depart Nairobi by road and proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, regarded by avid birders' as the greatest world ornithological spectacle on the earth. The park is famous for its millions of pink flamingos lining on the lake shore. You will be arriving mid morning at Lake Nakuru for a game drive en–route, before checking-in at your lodge for lunch. A spectacular afternoon game drive is planned. The park is a sanctuary to the black rhino, white rhino, and the Rothschild giraffe. Birdlife include common species like the lesser and greater flamingos, African fish eagle, tawny eagle, green wood hoopoes, cliff chat, great white and pink backed pelicans plus other intra- African migrants. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at a lodge.

We will drive through bucolic countryside to Lake Navaisha. Our destination is Lake Naivasha, arriving in good time for lunch at our hotel by the lake. Early in the afternoon, we will take an optional boat ride. The island is a private game sanctuary, which is home to zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, vervet monkeys, hare, genet cat, waterbuck, and giraffe. You might also want to lounge by the pool admiring the view of zebras, giraffes, and waterbucks just outside the fence. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Taphe Guest House.

Day 3

Naivasha – Masai Mara National Reserve

We will depart Lake Naivasha for Masai Mara National Reserve, the jewel of Kenya's game parks. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains and is famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest migration. It is also a true home to the Big Five; the lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, and Cape buffalo. Upon arrival, lunch will be served on your way at Narok town. You will be arriving in Masai Mara in good time for an evening game drive. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Mara Sidai Camp.

The Masai Mara is one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Morning and afternoon 'spice' game drives are planned. Large mammals are varied, abundant, and easy to see. Residents among the park mammals are Masai giraffe, buffalo, impala, zebra, topi, and both the Thomson's and Grant's gazelle. Hot air balloon rides are available on this day at an additional cost. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the camp.
