Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi National Park in Uganda

Our representative will pick you up at the hotel in Kigali and drive to Bwindi National Park. The drive to Uganda will go through Rwanda's northern town of Musanze (Ruhengeri). You will then cross over into Uganda via the Cyanika post. The trip continues through the nearby towns of Kisoro or Kabale and finally to Bwindi National Park. The journey from Kigali to Bwindi National Park will take approximately 5 hrs. Arriving at Bwindi National Park in the early afternoon will allow you to do optional activities such as hiking, visiting the Batwa community, or a coffee-making experience. Dinner and overnight at Bwindi National Park.

Gorilla Trek at Bwindi National Park & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

We will drive to the Bwindi National Park gate immediately after breakfast for a briefing on the gorilla trek. The national park guide will conduct the presentation covering the basics of what to expect during the gorilla trek. The national guide will assign the gorilla trekking group during the pre-trekking briefing. Other visitors will likely join you. The gorilla trek can take a few hours, depending on how far the gorillas are inside the forest. After the gorilla trek, we will drive to Lake Bunyonyi for dinner and overnight.

Sunrise Canoeing at Lake Bunyonyi and Drive Back to Kigali

We will start the day with an early breakfast at Lake Bunyonyi, followed by activities there. Things to do at Lake Bunyonyi include canoeing, birdwatching, ziplining, community walks, and hiking. After the morning activity, there will be a lunch stopover. We will transfer to Kigali, Rwanda, in the afternoon via the Gatuna border crossing.
