On arrival, you will be met at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi by our representative who will transfer you to a hotel in Nairobi. The hotel is one of the best accommodations in Nairobi with a fine blend of both Western culture and an African touch. Here you will relax and prepare yourself for an exciting, wild African safari.

Day 2

Nairobi – Aberdare National Park

Nairobi – Aberdare National Park

On this day, our destination is Aberdare N. Park at 0800hrs after breakfast. We shall drive North to Nyeri County which forms part of the Kenyan highlands through the central Kenya past the coffee plantations.

We will drive past the equator through the central highlands arriving at the Aberdare Country Club for lunch. After lunch, you will get some hours to relax or as you wait for your transfer to The Ark which is a tree lodge in the middle of Aberdare N. Park.

The lodge is located in the inside the park overlooking floodlit water hole where wild game come to drink water. You will have a game viewing from the deck and balcony. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3

After an early morning breakfast, we shall set-off further North to Samburu. We shall leave the lodge at 0900hrs. Our journey is 3 hrs. The region is rugged and very scenic with beautiful landscapes.

We shall arrive at approximately 1200hrs and start our safari with an en-route game drive. The climatic condition here is hot and dry. Check-in early for lunch at the Samburu Simba Lodge, set at the bank of the Ewaso Nyiro river. After lunch, have sometime for siesta or enjoying the lodge facilities at the swimming pool as you cool off from the hot sun.

Enjoy an evening game drive is dedicated to you at 1600hrs. The reserve is famous for the special five namely; reticulated giraffe, somali ostrich, gerenuk, beisa Oryx & secretary bird. There are also a variety of other game such as elephants (big herds), lions, leopard, cheetah and gazelles. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Full day in Samburu

Full day in Samburu

We go on morning and afternoon game drives to search for the unique northern Kenya species - the Special Five. In this game reserve, you will also get to see the maneless lions. Much of the reserve consists of desert landscapes - dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub. It features dramatic views of the tabletop of Mount Ololokwe on the horizon, and the deep red sunsets are amazing. We return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and accommodation.

Day 5

Samburu Game Reserve - Lake Naivasha

Our destination is Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge. We arrive at the lodge in time for lunch by the lake. In the early afternoon, we take an optional boat ride. Alternatively, a nature walk at Crescent Island is an excellent way to see wild animals while on foot. The island is a private game sanctuary that is home to zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, vervet monkey, hare, genet cat, waterbuck, and giraffe. You may also wish to lounge by the pool admiring the view of zebra, giraffe, and waterbuck just outside the fence. Lake Naivasha is one of the Rift Valley's freshwater lakes and has a variety of birdlife and hippo colonies.

We depart after an early breakfast, heading southwest to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. It is named after the indigenous inhabitants of the area, the Maasai. The Mara is one of the world's richest wildlife reserves and home to the spectacular eighth world wonder, the wildebeest migration. We anticipate arriving just in time for lunch served at the lodge.

On the afternoon game drive across the beautiful dotted plains of Mara, we search for large prides of lions and other cat-family species like serval, cheetah, and leopard. We also look for herbivores like topi, hartebeest, and oribi as well as many other mammals, reptiles, and amphibian species. In the evening, we return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Today will be a game viewing extravaganza!

The Masai Mara National Reserve remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the world. It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region. The scenic appeal of the tree-studded savannah plains, the moderate climate, and the diversity of wild game species make it a one-stop shop for game viewing activities.

We will roam the Masai Mara Reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing, encountering the Big Five and more of the lesser game. We will stop for a picnic lunch at the Mara River as we watch hippos and crocodiles, or maybe the great migration (July – October).

After breakfast, we say "kwaheri" to the Masai Mara and return to Nairobi. Depending on the time, our lunch will either be served at Maimahui or Nairobi. We arrive in Nairobi in the early afternoon and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight back home.
