Day 1

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Arusha to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. Then the heart of the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park, where you might see elephants, lions, hippos, giraffes, and buffaloes to mention a few. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Tortillis camp.

Main Destination:
Central Serengeti National Park
Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)

Exploring Serengeti Big Cats Hotspot

We have the full day to explore the Serengeti taking a packed lunch with us so that we can make the most of our game viewing. The area is a spectacular location for wildlife, particularly the big cats with multiple lions’ pride in the area. Cheetahs and leopards are regularly spotted in the area along with the variety of more common Savannah games. Even when the great wildebeest migration is not around the central part game viewing is great throughout the year, apart from the big cats the area is also home to giraffes, hippos, elephants, impala, buffalos, and a good number of birds species which can make your day busy as you are trying to look for that elusive leopard.
In the early evening, we return to camp to enjoy the sunset.

Serengeti -Ngorongoro crater Tour Karatu

Serengeti -Ngorongoro crater Tour Karatu

Today you will wake up very early to do an early morning safari before breakfast, to spot the animals when they are more active, and also to have a fantastic sun rise in front of you. The sunrise in the African Savannah is one of the most beautiful experiences one can have. You will then travel to Ngorongoro Crater, inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino. The crater has the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet. It contains a river, several swamps, a soda lake that, from the top, looks like steam, full of flamingos, a forest, and open plains. The large bull elephants that reside here have extremely large tusks, due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses.
After a full day, you will return to a lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Best Time To Visit June to October (Wildlife viewing is best)
High Season Most of the year – July to March (Expect crowds)
