After an early breakfast, descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a year-round sanctuary sustained by abundant water and rich grazing. The crater is home to vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, elands, warthogs, hippos, and elephants, alongside a dense population of predators including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard. Visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, where flamingos, hippos, and other water birds gather. In the late afternoon, transfer back to Arusha for overnight or airport drop-off.
