Our representative (or your guide) will meet you at the airport, pick you up and transfer you to your lodge in Moshi. The drive from the airport to your hotel is about 1hr. Your safari consultant together with your safari guide will brief you on various aspects of your itinerary including sharing all the important tips before the safari begins.

Day 2

Materuni Waterfalls hike, Coffee Tour & Local Lunch

After a leisurely morning and hearty breakfast, you will proceed to Materuni village which is about 30 -45min from your lodging. You will go through the rural area of Moshi Kilimanjaro.

You will arrive in Materuni village for a hiking adventure to the waterfalls, the tallest in the region, which takes about 45min to an hour one way. Later on, you will return to the village for a hot local lunch and coffee plantation tour. The local lunch will grant an opportunity to taste our delicious local cuisines. The coffee tour will allow you to learn a lot about our local coffee (arabica coffee) including making a cup of coffee for yourself.

In the evening, you will drive futher to your hotel in Arusha.

Day 3

Lake Manyara National Park + Bush Lunch + Maasai Cultural Visit + Medicinal Hike

Today you will set off to Lake Manyara nested on the edge of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment. Manyara is green throughout the year because of its underground water sources. Its verdant color attracts hundreds of spectacular varieties of migratory and wetland birds flying overhead including Flamingos. Manyara's natural habitat also includes large troops of baboons, velvet & blue monkeys, hippos, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, elephants, warthogs and many more.

Later in the afternoon, you drive further to your lodging in Manyara for a bush lunch. Afterwards, you will proceed to a Maasai Family that would be as excited to meet as you are to meet them! You will spend quality time learning about this tribal group while seeing their manyatas (igloo-like homes). After the family visit, you depart for a short walk ranging from 30 to 1h30; learning about different roots and plant extracts used daily by Maasai.

In the evening you will return to your lodging for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Early in the morning, you will visit a Maasai family for an authentic Maasai cultural experience. You may participate in their daily activities like milking, fetching water with the donkeys, collecting firewood, or just learning about traditional beadwork with the revered women of the tribe. Singing and dancing are just a small part of Maasai culture.

Later on, you will proceed to Serengeti via Ngorongoro Highlands. You will arrive in Central Serengeti for an afternoon game drive. Serengeti is the world’s best wildlife destination that offers everyday opportunities to see Africa’s most impressive wildlife. The name “Serengeti” comes from the Maasai word “Siringitu”, meaning “endless plains”. You will see why once you see its ocean of grassland savannas stretching to the horizon as far as your eye can see.

After a rewarding day of game drive in Central Serengeti, you will drive further to your camp for evening dinner and overnight.

Rewarding Time in Central Serengeti

You will spend your entire day in Central Serengeti dedicated to seeing the very best of Serengeti National Park. Early morning and evenings are the best for wildlife viewing. You will descend into the heart of wild Africa-the Serengeti national park-with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eyes can see. You will head to the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River that provides a valuable water source to this zone and hence attracts wildlife representative of most of the Serengeti’s species including lions, cheetahs, elephants, leopards, giraffes, a great number of hippos and abundant birdlife.

You can choose to do the game drive between 6 am to 6 pm with packed lunch or leave for an early morning game drive and then return to the camp for lunch before departing for the evening game drive again. Whatever works best for you! :).

After breakfast, you will depart with your packed lunch to the Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing on its floor. Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest volcano caldera formed three million years ago and is considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world and Africa's most remarkable geological sites.

The crater has a unique ecosystem that is inhabited by more than 25,000 resident animals. In the grass steppes and acacia forest, you can encounter almost every animal species of the East African savanna, including the “Big Five” (rhino, elephant, Cape buffalo, lion, leopard).

In the evening, you will ascend the crater and proceed to your next lodging located outside the Conservation Area for evening leisure, dinner and overnight.

Meet Hadzabe the Bushmen and Spend Quality Time with Datoga People

By 05:00 am, you will drive to Lake Eyasi and visit Hadzabe the Bushmen. You will participate in their early morning interactive activities including bush trek, hunting, and making a campfire. Other activities that are done during the day are tribal chanting, dancing, honey gathering, baobab fruit foraging, and experiencing their daily life.

Later in the day, you will drive back to the village to meet the Datoga people, another indigenous tribe found in the area. Datogas are skilled farmers and livestock keepers. Some of them are also craftsmen living independently for over decades forging knives, arrowheads, and jewelry for the greater Datoga tribe and for the Bushmen.

Later on, you will return to your lodge for hot lunch before driving further to your next lodging in Tarangire for evening leisure, dinner, and overnight.

As you wind up your safari, you will enjoy day game viewing in Tarangire National Park.

The Tarangire has the highest concentration of elephants in Northern Tanzania. You will witness an unforgettable natural wonder as you observe exotic mammals such as lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, and various types of antelopes such as gazelles. Tarangire is a paradise for birdwatchers with over 550 different species including the Maasai Ostrich-the world’s largest bird.

Later on, you will proceed to your respective airport in time for your flight back home or next destination.
