After breakfast, depart Arusha with picnic lunch boxes and drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Known as the “Home of Elephants”, Tarangire offers superb sightings of large herds gathering along the Tarangire River. Expect encounters with lions, leopards, giraffes, and even the rare tree-climbing pythons.

Day 4

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

After an early breakfast and a final game drive in the Serengeti, continue toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Pass through Maasai villages and wildlife corridors before reaching the crater rim by evening. Here, enjoy breathtaking views of the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.
Overnight: Simba Camp (public campsite).
Evening Experience: Due to Ngorongoro’s cold highlands and camping regulations, campfires are not always available. Instead, enjoy a cozy evening inside, with your guide sharing insights about the crater and preparing you for tomorrow’s descent.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend over 600 meters to the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a 6-hour game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the few places on earth where it’s possible to see all of the Big Five in a single day: lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo, and leopard. Visit Lake Magadi for birdwatching, including flamingos and hippos.
Picnic lunch on the crater floor, then ascend and drive back to Arusha for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
