Arusha - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast in Arusha, depart for Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro highlands with en route views of the Rift Valley escarpments. Enter Serengeti through Naabi Hill Gate, where the endless plains unfold before your eyes. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before starting your first thrilling game drive. Search for herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, giraffes, and predators like lions and cheetahs roaming freely. By late afternoon, head to Shuhudia Tented Lodge, nestled near Serengeti’s wildlife-rich areas. Dinner and overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Wake up to the sunrise over the plains and set off for a full-day game drive with picnic lunch in the bush. Explore Serengeti’s diverse ecosystems, from riverine forests to open savannahs. With your guide’s expertise, track predators on the hunt, witness giraffes gracefully feeding on acacia trees, and, depending on the season, follow the wildebeest migration. Photograph hippos in pools and birdlife along riverbanks. In the evening, return to Shuhudia Tented Lodge for relaxation by the campfire, dinner, and stargazing in the clear African night sky.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Have an early morning start in the Serengeti to try and find cats before they retreat from the blazing sun during the day. After a few hours of game drive, travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Ngorongoro caldera is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. At approximately 20 kilometres across and 600 metres deep, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. You will arrive there at about lunchtime and you will have a little game drive down the crater. You'll then go directly for lunch near the hippo pool. After lunch, you will quit the pool and go for another game drive. It is possible to see the cats and the rhinoceros closely and enjoy the other parts of nature. Later on, you will drive straight back to Arusha town because it's a bit of distance from Ngorongoro Conservation Area. It takes 3 hours. Then you will be dropped off at the airport or at the hotel.
