Upon landing at Entebbe International Airport, you will be picked by one of our experienced driver guides to connect you to a lodge or hotel of your choice in Kampala.
In case you arrive early, end the day with a sightseeing tour in Kampala city and visit iconic sites like Uganda museum, Bulange palace, the Baha’i temple and Gadhafi national mosque. Return to your hotel for relaxation, dinner and night stay.

Day 2

Transfer to Murchison falls National Park & Ziwa Rhino trekking enroute

After breakfast early in the morning, you head to Murchison Falls National Park located in the northwestern region of Uganda. In Nakasongola district is where you will make a stopover at the famed Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to track rhinos. This experience takes only 2 hours, with 30 minutes of lunch and relaxation.
Continue to Murchison Falls National Park thereafter and head to top of the falls to view the most powerful waterfalls as it squeezes itself through a 7-meter gorge forming a permanent rainbow which creates a beautiful scene for photography. After this experience, return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.

Day 3

Have breakfast and depart for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest national park as you look out for numerous resident animals, including lions, leopards (on a lucky day), hippos, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks among others. For any birder, there are quite a number of birds to sight too during the drive. Return to the accommodation for some rest time and have lunch.
After lunch, you will head out for the boat trip to the base of thundering Murchison Falls where you will also be able to catch sight of more animals including Hippos and Crocodiles and several water birds. You may continue with a hike to top of the falls if you didn’t do it on a previous day.

After breakfast at your accommodation, depart right away for Kibale Forest National Park. The drive is quite long but incredibly scenic – passing through villages, lush green countryside and hills dotted with tea plantations that characterize this part of Uganda. The beautiful scenery will amaze you all the way.
Kibale Forest National Park is home to 13 species of primates including over 1500 chimpanzees, as well as Uganda mangabey, black and white colobus monkeys, L'Hoest's monkeys and red-tailed monkeys. Arrive in the evening for relaxation at your lodge as you admire the panoramic crater landscapes of Fort portal.

Day 5

Breakfast early in the morning and join the rest of the visitors for pre-trek briefing at Kanyanchu visitor center and then set off for chimpanzee tracking that lasts for about 2 to 5 hours. This nature walk may also bring you in contact with numerous bird species, black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, butterflies and so much more.
Like mountain gorilla trekking, only an hour is given to you to have a face to face encounter with a troop of chimpanzees and thereafter return to the lodge for lunch. Dedicate the afternoon for Bigodi village and wetland exploration and view vast population of birdlife, amphibians, reptiles, small mammals and primates. After this nature walk, return to your lodge for dinner and night stay.

Day 6

Following breakfast in the morning, begin a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Fort portal – Kasese highway. This park is home of incredible wildlife and while here you will catch glimpse of among other mammal species include African elephants, antelopes, lions, buffaloes, leopards and over 500 species of birds. Along the way, you will have spectacular views of the towering Rwenzori Mountains and vast tea plantations.
Arrive for lunch and in the afternoon proceed for a memorable launch cruise along Kazinga channel that joins Lake Edward to Lake George. The launch cruise gives you a chance to sight various water animals including crocodiles and hippos as well as elephants, buffaloes, water bucks and lots of bird species.

Following breakfast in the morning, head off for wildlife viewing along with the Kasenyi trail in a safari – built 4X4 jeep. While on this safari, expect to spot lots of elephants, Uganda Kobs, Waterbucks, Buffaloes, Lions and many other species. Continue to Ishasha sector in the south of Queen Elizabeth National Park to look out for the rare tree-climbing lions until evening when you return to your lodge for overnight and dinner.

Day 8

Exit to Bwindi impenetrable national park

Have breakfast and prepare to exit to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with another optional game drive in the Ishasha sector in case you didn’t get a chance to view the resident tree-climbing lions. The chance of spotting these lions is about 70% though sometimes they are hard to spot (most especially when they are down in the grassland looking for prey). Hoping you get the chance to spot them, the moment will be super spectacular!
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a popular habitat for mountain gorillas in the world (harboring an estimate of 600 mountain gorillas – almost 50% of the world’s total population) including 20 habituated families, which can be trekked on a daily basis. With a strenuous day ahead, you will do less on arrival but just check in your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Following breakfast in the morning, you will set off to park briefing Banda where you are destined for briefing session from the park official about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. Bwindi has four major trailheads each of which comes with habituated gorilla families for visitors to track on daily basis.
Besides tracking mountain gorillas, you will also catch a glimpse of the bird species, mammals, and other primates. The trek usually takes about 1 to 8 hours or more depending on which gorilla group is assigned to you, the altitude of the area and physique of the trekkers.
After this adventure, continue to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation and sightseeing. This famed lake is Africa’s 2nd deepest lake, framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of 2,200m – 2,478m and the scattered 29 islands of various shapes and sizes make it most lovely — you could admire them all day and night.

After breakfast, you will have the option of visiting and interacting with the local community who inhabit areas surrounding Lake Bunyonyi. Alternatively, you could opt for a canoe trek on Lake Bunyonyi which will introduce you to the major islands and their rich history but also there will be some great time spent in the traditional dugout canoe.
In the afternoon, you could engage in a more adventurous experience of high ropes and zip line across the lake. Later in the evening, return to your resort for dinner and relaxation.

Day 11

After breakfast at the scenic Lake Bunyonyi, you will be transferred by your experienced driver-guide in a 4X4 safari jeep to Lake Mburo National Park. Stopover at Igongo Country Hotel for lunch and proceed to Lake Mburo National Park for an evening game drive. After, return to the booked lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
You may also book for a night game drive, where you expect to sight nocturnal creatures including snakes, spotted hyena, owls and the elusive leopard (rare to spot) among other mammals and birds.

Transfer back to Kampala

Transfer back to Kampala

Enjoy an early breakfast and proceed for the game walking safari in the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger/guide. On this early morning guided walk; you will have the opportunity to encounter (at close range): Zebras, Giraffes and Eland, Topi and other antelopes, Cape buffaloes among others.
Take the trail to top of the hills and view the panoramic Lake Mburo and beyond. From this vantage point, you will have a view of 9 of the twelve lakes bordering Lake Mburo NP. Thereafter, return to the lodge for checkout and then hit the road to Entebbe airport for your departure.
