Day 1

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Arusha - Tarangire National Park

This day takes you to Tarangire, the home of elephants. You will definitely see many elephants throughout the park! It is also a great place to spot wild cats, like lions are all present. Various herbivores can also be found. The game drive will take you close to the animals, with a midday lunch at the Tarangire River picnic site. After the afternoon game drive, drive to Mto wa Mbu for your overnight stay in the campsites.

Day 2-3

Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park

Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, we will head to the Serengeti via Ngorongoro. You will dedicate two days to exploring the vast Serengeti, famous for its Wildebeest movements, large predator populations, and high concentration of the “Big Five.” The word “Serengeti” comes from the Maasai local language, meaning “endless plain.” In the evening of day 2, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay inside Serengeti National Park. For day 3, after the morning game drive you will have a picnic lunch and then head back to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for an overnight stay and dinner.

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

After an early breakfast, we will descend into the crater on a journey to find the black rhinos, which are the hardest to spot. Most animals are easier to see here due to the flat crater floor. This caldera is home to a high concentration of wildlife, including the “Big Five:” elephants, buffalo, lions, rhinos, and leopards. After your full-day game drive, you will return to the campsite in Mto wa Mbu for an overnight stay and dinner.

Lake Manyara National Park - Arusha

Lake Manyara National Park - Arusha

After an early breakfast, we will go to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. You will see many birds, including the famous flamingos at the lake, and the lions. Visit the hippo pool for a close look at hippos and see the hot springs while spotting wildlife such as buffalos, wildebeest, warthogs, vultures, eagles, and monkeys. After the game drive, return to Arusha to your accommodation for your overnight stay to prepare for the next visit to Materuni Waterfalls.

Materuni Waterfalls

Materuni Waterfalls

After pick up from your accommodation in Arusha, you will head to Materuni Village for a short hike to Materuni Falls, where you will enjoy the beautiful view of the waterfall. Later, we will visit a coffee farm and learn how coffee is grown, harvested, and processed. You will then try roasting and preparing a fresh cup of local coffee. After Materuni, we will drive to Arusha or the airport for your journey back home.
