Day 1

Coffee Tour, Banana Farm, Waterfall and Cultural Experience

Your adventure will start from the moment you land. First, you will be taken to your accommodation in Arusha to take a shower and drop off your luggage.

Then you will have a day trip to a coffee farm, banana farm, waterfall, local market and cultural heritage. This will enable you to be part of the local culture by being able to enjoy a traditional meal.

When you reach the waterfalls, you will see the pool at the bottom of the waterfall, an inviting place for a refreshing swim so don’t forget your swimwear!

Then coffee experience awaits you. Here you will learn how coffee is cultivated, dried, roasted and further processed.

You will be invited to grind the coffee, which is traditionally accompanied by local songs and dances, a fun way to immerse yourself in the local culture. You can savour the coffee you made and appreciate the views of the surrounding rainforest.

Later on, after finishing the tour you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

You will depart Arusha at 8:00 am heading to Tarangire National Park. It takes only 2 hours (120km) to drive to the national park entrance.

You will have about 10 minutes for the washroom at the entrance while your guide completes legal formalities at the park authority offices before the morning and afternoon game drives (lunch included).

You can expect to see zebras, cheetahs, giraffes, lions, Thomson's and Grant's gazelles, kori bustard heavy flying birds, antelope species, and many elephants. Apart from a wildlife game drive in Tarangire, you can also do a hot air balloon safari, which is optional at $600 per person.

In the evening after the game drive, you will exit the park heading to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti has endless plains accumulated with savannah grasslands which provide a wide feeding area throughout the year for wildebeests, many antelope species, and zebras. This makes it the potential area for carnivores such as cheetahs, lions, hyenas, and other wild cats to hunt these herbivores.

Also in Seronera Valley, there are dotted acacia trees that appear in a group-like structure known as kopjes, which provide a vantage point for predators to spot the prey and also provide a home for reptiles such as lizards and pythons. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Nyani Campsite.

Day 4

This day continues with the game drive at Central Serengeti but is more likely to be based in the southern part, which will make you be able to spot more hunting actions and even exit without a delay heading to Simba Campsite.

Activities such as a sunrise game drive will enable you to spot the Big Five animals and many other animals including the hunting actions since at sunrise animals are very active in searching for their daily meals. On this day, you may also book a hot air balloon safari at $600 per person.

You will continue with the game drive until late in the afternoon. You'll exit the park to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which is the place where you will spend the night, at the rim of the crater.

Day 5

You will have breakfast at the campsite. At 8:00 am, you will be picked up and head to the crater gate, with game viewing along the way. At 9:00 am, you will descend the crater and at 1:00 pm, you'll have lunch at a picnic site. At 3:00 pm, you'll exit the crater and head back to Arusha.

The park has volcanic soil that supports many habitats making it very potential for Big Five spotting in a single day visit. Inside the park, there's Lake Makat, which provides a home for many birds. Apart from that, the park is well known for the existence of many Maasai families living in their circular-oriented Bomas.

Furthermore, it's best for anyone wishing to explore the history of human evolution pioneered by Leakey's family. You can expect to spot lions, buffaloes, wildebeests, many birds, zebras, hippos, gazelles, jackals, foxes, wild dogs, elands, waterbucks, servals and ungulates. Absentees are giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, and elephants, which are rarely seen at the crater rim.
