Day 1

After breakfast, we will drive to Nakiwogo Landing Site, where you will board a boat to Mabamba Swamp in search of the prehistoric shoebill stork.

As you glide through the papyrus channels, you’ll have excellent opportunities to spot a wide variety of bird species, making this a true paradise for bird lovers. Keep an eye out for species such as the African Fish Eagle, Purple Swamphen, African Jacana, Black Heron, Blue-cheeked Bee-eater, and many more.

Shoebill tracking typically takes about 4 hours and offers a rewarding and immersive wildlife experience. Afterward, you will return by boat and transfer back to your hotel.
