After clearing customs and passport control at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, you will be welcomed by our professional driver holding a personalized sign for easy recognition. He will assist with your luggage and transfer you in a 4x4 safari Jeep to Lake Manyara National Park for a half‑day game drive. Today, after breakfast, you will be transferred to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for your domestic flight to Zanzibar Island.

Known as Africa’s tropical paradise, Zanzibar offers some of the world’s most beautiful beaches, with endless stretches of white sand lined by palm trees and lapped by the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Part of the Zanzibar Archipelago, which includes Pemba Island and smaller islets, Zanzibar is famously called the “Spice Island” for its rich history in the spice trade and its fragrant plantations of cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Beyond its beaches, the island blends cultural heritage with natural beauty, making it a perfect extension to your Tanzania safari.

You have the full day at leisure and to relax at the beach hotel.

An optional activity at an extra cost, is an early departure to the southern point of the island. Visit Kizimkazi fishing village to view the amazing bottle-nosed and humpback dolphins which are sighted during a short boat trip from the village. Kizimkazi is also the site of the oldest mosque in East Africa, dating from the 12th century. After a local Swahili lunch, the tour proceeds to Jozani Forest which is home to the unique red colobus monkeys and mysterious mangroves.

You will then return to your resort to relax, enjoy the sunset, and have dinner and overnight.
