Day 1

Mombasa - Tsavo East National Park- Tsavo West National Park

Mombasa - Tsavo East National Park- Tsavo West National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning then drive along the Mombasa-Nairobi road to Tsavo East National Park. You will enter the park via Bachuma gate and embark on a game-viewing drive with chances of encountering elephants, lions, buffalos, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and antelopes.

You will then visit the famous Aruba dam where lots of game animals and bird species can be found especially during the dry spell. Then, you will proceed to Voi Safari Lodge, check-in, and have your buffet lunch. After lunch and a short rest, you will depart for the Tsavo West National Park with a game drive en route. You will enter the park via the Tsavo River gate and proceed to visit the Rhino Sanctuary with an opportunity to see the elusive and endangered black rhinos among other wild animals. Your dinner and an overnight stay will be at Ngulia Safari Lodge.

Your early morning breakfast will be at 6:30 a.m. You will check out of the lodge and proceed for an early morning safari game drive to Mzima Springs—a major attraction while on safari to Tsavo West. You will enjoy views of gigantic hippos and crocodiles lying in wait for unsuspecting victims. The water is crystal clear and many species of fish can also be seen. You will continue your game drive right through Tsavo West with an opportunity to see more animals as you head out of the park and join the Mombasa-Nairobi road. You will drive to Mombasa with lunch en-route. You will arrive in Mombasa in the late afternoon.
