3-Day Queen Elizabeth National Park Adventure

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up early, and enjoy breakfast at the hotel, after which your guide will pick you up at 7:30am. Before embarking on the 6-hour journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, your guide will brief you. Along the way, you will have a few stopovers at the equator; here, you can take photographs. Next, you will have lunch in Mbarara at the Igongo Cultural Center. Afterward, proceed to the park as you drive through the spectacular landscape characterized by open grasslands, Ankole long-horned cattle, tea plantations, the Rift Valley Escarpment, and various woodlands. You will reach the park late afternoon and have a game drive as you head back to the lodge. Finally, you will have dinner and your overnight stay at the lodge.

Game drive and boat cruise

Begin your day with a delicious cup of coffee or tea before departing on a game drive. The game drive will be along various routes, including the Kasenyi trail. Along the Kasenyi trail, there is an excellent opportunity to see various animals like waterbucks, Ugandan kobs, elephants, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, and birds. After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for breakfast. Your lunch will also be served at the lodge. Later that afternoon, you will take pleasure in a 2-hour boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. The Kazinga Channel connects Lake George and Lake Edward. While on the boat, you will see a good number of animals and birds, such as the malachite kingfishers and pink-backed pelicans, sitting on the riverbank and in the trees.

En route to Kampala

With the superb memories of the past two days, you will enjoy your last breakfast while on this safari. After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge. Then, you can join a primate walk in the park. Finally, enjoy your lunch along the way to Kampala. Again you will have a stopover at the equator before proceeding to Kampala. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Kampala in the evening.
