Day 1

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Have breakfast at the hotel in Kampala, and thereafter drive toward Murchison Falls National Park. You will go through the Luwero Triangle and have a stopover at the Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary which is home to various rhinos. Have an en-route lunch as you head to the park. Check in at the lodge and relax in the evening.

Day 2

Morning game drive and an afternoon boat cruise

Morning game drive and an afternoon boat cruise

In the morning, have an early breakfast and proceed to the park for the game drive. You will view various animals such as elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, giraffes, lions, and also different bird species among others. After lunch, go for an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile River. Later, proceed for a hike to the top of the falls where you will see the Nile and how it makes its way through the narrow gap. Afterward, meet your driver guide and drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Transfer to Kibale National Park

Transfer to Kibale National Park

Enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge, and then drive to Kibale National Park. On your way, you wouldn’t want to miss out on the beautiful countryside endowed with the Albertine escarpments, so you will pass via Hoima to Fort Portal. Have a stopover in Masindi for lunch. After lunch, continue to Kibale National Park which is one of Africa’s great rainforests. The park is home to 13 primate species such as chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys, and birds such as the rumped tinker bird, the green-breasted pitta, and the yellow-spotted nicator among others. Arrive at the park, then check in at the lodge, relax and have dinner in the evening.

Day 4

Chimpanzee tracking and a visit to Bigodi Wetland

Chimpanzee tracking and a visit to Bigodi Wetland

Wake up for an early breakfast, and then proceed with a packed lunch from the lodge to the park headquarters for the briefing about chimpanzee tracking. Later, enter the amazing rainforest to look for the chimpanzees. Meeting them will be one of the most amazing experiences as you will enjoy watching them play, and feed their young ones, and the males guarding the territories. After that, enjoy your packed lunch in the wild.

In the afternoon after the tracking, visit the Bigodi Swamp where you will see some other primates like mongoose, bush pig, baboons, and otter.

Day 5

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park after an early breakfast. It is found in the southwestern part of Uganda, and it’s renowned for being home to over 340 mountain gorillas. On the way to the park, you will see various animals and amazing vegetation together with the local people along the road. You will also enjoy seeing lots of animal species along the way. Arrive at the park in the afternoon, check in at the lodge, relax, or go for a guided nature walk.

Day 6

Gorilla trekking

Gorilla trekking

Enjoy an early breakfast, and later continue to the park headquarters for a briefing. After the briefing, the rangers will guide you through the forest as you start your search for the mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking is an amazing activity, though it can be tiring as it can take between 2 to 8 hours. After the trekking, head back to the lodge for lunch. Later in the evening, you could opt for relaxing at the lodge or visiting the Batwa community to have fun as you enjoy their cultural dances.
