Johannesburg to Greater Kruger

Your shuttle transfer departs for the OR Tambo Bus terminal building at 7:45 am and makes its way down to the Greater Kruger area. Arriving at Karongwe Reserve gate, your guide will be waiting to transfer you to Shiduli Lodge in Karongwe Private Game Reserve.

After being checked into your rooms, you can relax and enjoy a light lunch. In the late afternoon, you will gather for your first afternoon/sunset safari drive. You'll return to the lodge around sunset where you can freshen up before enjoying a delicious dinner at the lodge.

Morning and Afternoon Safari Drives

These days are spent enjoying morning and afternoon safari drives in open safari vehicles with qualified and knowledgeable guides. In between drives, you can relax around the lodge and enjoy lunch at the lodge. Traditional African dinners will be enjoyed after returning from your afternoon/sunset safaris.

Traversing over 9000 hectares, the lodge is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, and elephant) as well as a wealth of other creatures. Enjoy a sundowner while the sun sets over the magnificent Drakensberg Mountains.

The magnificent game viewing makes for perfect photographic opportunities; enjoy the view of the Lowveld from a “kopje” amid the lush vegetation, huge variety of trees, and over 365 different bird species. Game drives are conducted with our qualified game rangers and Shangaan trackers, who will share their vast experience of the African bush.

Back to Johannesburg

This morning, you'll depart on one last safari drive before needing to check out from the lodge. After breakfast, you can pack and check out from camp. Your guide will be waiting to transfer you to Karongwe Main Gate to meet up with your shuttle back to Johannesburg.

You will arrive back at the OR Tambo bus terminal in the late afternoon where your tour with us ends for your onward travel.
