Day 3-4

Discover the Astounding Swakopmund

This morning it's back to the aircraft for a low-level scenic flight towards the Atlantic Coast. You will experience Sossusvlei and the surrounding area from a bird’s eye view en route to the extraordinary Namib Coastline. After arriving at Swakopmund, you will transfer to the Swakopmund Strand Hotel. Swakopmund is a city oasis situated at the edge of the Namib desert and the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. The quaint town offers many touristic attractions like splendid buildings, a wonderful town promenade, the aquarium and many more.

Located at the promenade with views of the ocean, the Strand Hotel impresses and exceeds expectations every time featuring a spa, three restaurants and a small Namibian and German-inspired brewery.

The activities at Swakopmund consist of the following: a sailing desert catamaran cruise with fresh oysters, champagne and snacks combined with a 4x4 adventure into the sandwich harbour and a one-hour quad bike adventure the next day.

This morning, it is time to take a flight from Swakopmund towards your inland destination while experiencing aerial views of the drastically changing Namibian landscape. While saying goodbye to the pale landscape of Swakopmund and the skeleton coast, you get to meet the massive boulders and rolling plains of Damaraland.

Mowani Mountain Camp is a luxurious haven nestled into the landscape as it is overwhelmed by the massive boulders. You will rediscover something eye-catching around each and every corner as the camp is framed by its surrounding landscape.

You will take to the skies and experience how the landscape levels off from boulders to the endless pans of Etosha National Park. As your flight is nearing Etosha, be prepared to start your exceptional Namibian wildlife experience.

Return to Windhoek

Return to Windhoek

On the morning of day nine, you will depart from Onguma Airstrip to Naankuse Airstrip. On arrival at Naankuse Airstrip, you will be transferred to Omaanda. Omaanda is situated approximately 55 kilometres east of Windhoek. Inspired by Owambo architecture, Omaanda is built and designed with elevating views stretching across endless savannas into the distant Khomas Hochland plateau.

Inspired by the traditional Owambo architecture, Omaanda offers ten individual thatch and clay huts. You'll experience immaculate wildlife when entering the 9000 hectares of private animal conservancy reserve including, breakfast with the presence of meerkats and even the up-close sighting of big cats.

The activities included at Omaanda consist of the following: conservation drives, private savannah watch, rhino tracking, meerkat manners, elephant tracking and carnivore tracking.
