Day 2
To North Serengeti - Mara River

After a very early breakfast, depart from Twiga Camp at 6 AM with packed lunches and begin your journey to Northern Serengeti. Enter the park through the Naabi Hill Gate and enjoy an extensive enroute safari through the Central Serengeti, especially the Seronera Valley—famous for its resident Big Cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as large herds of elephants, buffaloes, hippos, and numerous antelope species. Continue your scenic drive northward through changing landscapes and diverse wildlife habitats. By late afternoon, arrive in the remote Lobo area of Northern Serengeti, known for its dramatic rock outcrops and open plains. Enjoy a beautiful sunset game drive in this less crowded region before heading to Lobo Campsite for a warm dinner and overnight stay under the stars.

This area is also famous for its big cats—lions, leopards, and cheetahs—who prey on these resident animals throughout the year. As the sun sets over the Serengeti, head to Seronera Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on the incredible wildlife experiences of the day.

After an early breakfast, depart from the camp at 6:30 AM for a morning safari in the Seronera area, focusing on the Seronera River, which is a vital water source for the wildlife in the region. Spend the morning observing herds of wildebeest, buffaloes, and elephants, along with predators like lions, leopards, and cheetahs. If you're lucky, you may witness an exciting hunt. By noon, head to Naabi Hill Gate for a lunch break before exiting the park at 2 PM. Continue your drive to the Ngorongoro Crater rim, where you'll arrive at Simba Campsite by 5 PM. Situated at 2,500 meters above sea level, the camp offers stunning views of the surrounding highlands. After settling in, enjoy a delicious dinner and a restful overnight stay in the cool, tranquil environment of the crater rim.

Explore the crater floor and its stunning landscapes while spotting elephants, buffaloes, and other fascinating creatures. Enjoy your lunch by the famous Ngoitoktok Hippo Pool, surrounded by the sounds of wildlife. By 1 PM, exit the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and begin your drive back to Arusha. You’ll be dropped off in town or at your hotel by 5 PM, concluding your incredible safari adventure and allowing for onward arrangements.
