Day 1

After breakfast at your lodge, you will set off for Kibale Forest National Park, a true haven for primates with over 13 species and a variety of unique birdlife. The journey takes you through beautiful countryside landscapes and lush tea plantations.

Upon arrival, you’ll check in and enjoy lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, head out for a guided walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you’ll meet local community members known for basket weaving and traditional iron smelting. The walk also offers excellent opportunities to spot colorful birds such as the Great Blue Turaco, along with baboons and other primates.

Later, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Enjoy an early breakfast before departing your lodge for the Kanyanchu Park Headquarters, carrying enough bottled drinking water. Upon arrival, you’ll receive a briefing about chimpanzee tracking and the forest’s ecosystem.

At around 8:00 a.m., begin your chimpanzee tracking adventure through the lush Kibale Forest, accompanied by an experienced and armed park ranger. As you follow the trails, you’ll have an incredible opportunity to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat and encounter other fascinating primates such as grey-cheeked Mangabeys and L’Hoest’s monkeys, along with colorful butterflies and unique forest bird species.

After returning to your lodge for lunch, you’ll set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge, relax, and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Day 3

Wake up to the melodious songs of birds and enjoy an early breakfast at 6:00 a.m. Soon after, embark on a morning game drive across the Kasenyi Plains, where you’ll have the best chance to spot early risers such as lions, solitary buffaloes, Uganda kobs, elephants, and leopards roaming the savannah.

Return to your lodge for lunch and a short rest, then head out for an exciting afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway is teeming with life — from colorful bird species like kingfishers and pink-backed pelicans, to crocodiles, elephants, hippos, and many more animals gathered along the shores. Cruising on the Kazinga Channel is truly one of the most captivating experiences in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After the cruise, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Ishasha Sector

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through Ishasha Sector

After breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, driving through the Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park — famously known for its tree-climbing lions.

Along the way, enjoy a mini game drive in Ishasha as you search for these unique lions resting in fig trees, as well as other wildlife such as topis, elephants, and a variety of bird species.

Continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site that shelters the world’s largest population of mountain gorillas, along with rich flora and diverse fauna.

Upon arrival, check in at your lodge, relax, and enjoy dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the forest.

Day 5

You'll have breakfast early in the morning at around 6:30 am and transfer to the park headquarters with a packed lunch, where you will be briefed by the Park rangers as you also get entertained by the local community group. By 8:00 am, you will be accompanied by the park rangers as you enter the mist-covered forest to track mountain gorillas.

You must be fit enough and also consider using porters to carry your luggage, just in case you need them, and you pay them a small amount of money for labor. Tracking may take between 2 and 7 hours, and the moment you see and start interacting with the gorillas, only one hour is allowed to you.

After tracking, you'll return to the lodge to unwind and later in the evening take a walk in various communities, such as the Batwa and Bakiga communities, where you will interact with them and learn a lot about their culture. Later, you'll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After your breakfast, embark on the 4 hours and 30 minutes’ road trip to Lake Mburo National Park, known for being the smallest but rich with wildlife, we shall have a stopover for lunch in Mbarara town, the road trip will go through stunning sceneries, farms, markets and plantations. The park is a habitat to a big number of Zebras, impalas, oribis, Cape buffaloes, warthogs, and waterbucks with over 332 bird species. Upon arrival at the park by afternoon hours’ head for a boat cruise along Lake Mburo.
