Summit Attempt

Summit Attempt

At nightfall, the departure from Barafu Camp, nestled at an elevation of 4,640 meters, marks the commencement of the journey towards the summit of Kilimanjaro, known as Uhuru Peak, towering at an altitude of 5,895 meters. Although the ascent itself isn't technically challenging, the formidable obstacle remains the high altitude. Each pair of climbers will be partnered with a dedicated guide who will accompany them throughout the ascent, closely monitoring their physical and mental well-being. Upon reaching the summit of Uhuru Peak, you'll have the option to descend to the nearest glacier if you desire, before returning to Barafu Camp for a well-deserved 2-hour rest. Following this interlude, the descent will continue, leading you to Millennium Camp, positioned at an elevation of 3,820 meters.

Nestled within a verdant tropical rainforest, the camp provides a tranquil setting for your overnight retreat. As the morning sun graces the horizon, you'll awaken to a sense of relief, owing to the decrease in altitude, coupled with the profound satisfaction of having conquered the summit. A hearty breakfast awaits, fueling you for the final stage of your journey, leading you toward the park's exit, Mweka Gate, located at an elevation of 1,650 meters. As the descent concludes, the entire group will come together to offer their heartfelt congratulations, and you'll have the opportunity to pen your thoughts about the climb in the guestbook. Our office will then proudly bestow upon you a commemorative certificate, and we'll ensure a seamless transfer back to your hotel in Moshi.
