Upon arrival at either Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, our team will be there to warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. If time permits, based on your arrival schedule, you’ll have the option to enjoy an Arusha city tour, which may include visits to the renowned Cultural Heritage art gallery, bustling local markets, and the vibrant Maasai Market, perfect for picking up unique souvenirs.

Day 2
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 a.m. for a 2-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, some of the largest on the continent.
From the open roof of your safari vehicle, you’ll explore the park’s rich landscapes, including seasonal swamps, savanna plains, and the Tarangire River, which attracts an abundance of wildlife. Expect to encounter a wide variety of species such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas, elands, warthogs, lions, leopards, and over 500 species of birds.
Enjoy a picnic lunch at Matete picnic site, offering beautiful views over the river, before continuing with your afternoon game drive. Later, you’ll head to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the wilderness.

After an early breakfast, depart from your accommodation and journey towards the Ndutu region, located in the southern Serengeti ecosystem. During the calving season, this area becomes the stage for one of nature's most remarkable spectacles, as hundreds of thousands of wildebeest gather to give birth, attracting an abundance of predators and creating exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities.
Enjoy a full-day game drive across the vast Ndutu plains, where you'll have the chance to spot wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and a wide variety of birdlife. Pause for a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your safari through this wildlife-rich landscape.
In the late afternoon, continue your journey into the Central Serengeti, arriving at your accommodation in time for dinner and an overnight stay, ready for another exciting day of safari adventures.

After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive in either the Ndutu region or the Central Serengeti, depending on where the Great Migration is most concentrated. Your experienced guide will determine the best location based on the latest wildlife movements, ensuring you have the greatest opportunity to witness spectacular migration activity and unforgettable wildlife encounters.
Throughout the day, explore the vast plains in search of enormous herds of wildebeest and zebras, as well as the predators that closely follow them, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness before continuing your safari through some of Tanzania's most wildlife-rich landscapes.
As the afternoon draws to a close, return to your accommodation in the Serengeti for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay, reflecting on another extraordinary day in the African wilderness.

After an early breakfast, depart the Serengeti and journey towards the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa's most iconic wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend 600 metres into the crater for a spectacular game drive across its diverse landscapes, home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife.
Spend the day exploring the crater floor in search of the Big Five, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, and, with a bit of luck, the endangered black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the crater while taking in the stunning surroundings.
In the late afternoon, ascend the crater and continue to the nearby town of Karatu, where you'll check in to your accommodation. Relax over dinner and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay, preparing for the final day of your safari adventure.

Along the way, you'll stop to enjoy a packed picnic lunch while reflecting on the unforgettable wildlife encounters and breathtaking moments experienced throughout your safari.
Upon arrival in Arusha, you'll be dropped off at your preferred location. If you're travelling onward, we can transfer you directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) for your departure flight, marking the end of your incredible Tanzanian safari with Serengeti Wakanda.
