At this point, the party may be able to get their first views of two of the three volcanic peaks that make up the summit of Kilimanjaro - Kibo and Mawenzi. This is an exciting moment for trekkers, as it marks the beginning of their ascent towards the summit. The moorland landscape is also quite different from the forest, offering a unique and stunning landscape for the trekkers to experience.
