Johannesburg – Elephant Plains Game Lodge

Depart from the Johannesburg O.R. Tambo Airport Bus Terminal by 07:00 am and travel eastward via the N4 motorway. Drive through the Highveld of Gauteng and Mpumalanga and down the escarpment to the scenic Lowveld until you reach the reserve inside the Greater Kruger National Park.

During the long six-hour drive, you will stop for refreshments and reach the lodge around midday. You can first freshen up and relax a while before departing with a guide on an open safari vehicle for your first afternoon game drive in the reserve.

Back at the lodge, a scrumptious dinner in a friendly ambience will await you.

Elephant Plains Game Lodge open-vehicle safari drives

You will rise early and be served a selection of hot beverages and rusks before departing on your three-hour morning game drive, with the sun rising in the east.

On return to the lodge, you can enjoy a late breakfast and choose to spend the rest of the day at the pool, library or lazing around.

Your afternoon open-vehicle game drive with an expert guide will commence at about 16h00 and return in time for another starlit dinner.

Elephant Plains Game Lodge – Johannesburg

Rise early, enjoy a hot beverage and rusk, and say goodbye to the bush during a last morning game drive.

After enjoying a last African sunrise, you return to the lodge for breakfast before departing to Johannesburg. You will arrive at your drop-off point at approximately 17h00.
