2-Day Mikumi National Park Experience with Wildlife

Driving to Mikumi Park from Dar es Salaam

On this day you will be picked up from your accommodation in Dar es salaam at 6:00 AM then you will embark on a drive to Mikumi national park. Check in at your lodge after arrival. After settling in, later in the day you will be going to Maasai village to experience the Maasai culture. In the evening from 06:30 pm you will go for a night game drive inside Mikumi National Park. During the night game drive you will be able to view the rarely seen animals during the day game drive or nocturnal animals such as Civet cats, Aardvarks, Porcupines, Genets, Mongoose, Bush babies, big cats like Lions, Leopards, spotted Hyenas among others which tend to hide in the bushes and shrubs during the day and Hippos which spend their day in water and get out at night to graze.

Morning Game drive and driving back to Dar es Salaam

Get up early in the morning with packed breakfast and head for an early morning game drive in the park in search for wild animals. The game drive will take a maximum 4 hours.

Possible animals that you will find on this day are, Elephants, Giraffes, Lions, Hippos in the Hippo’s pools, Warthogs, Buffaloes, Elands, Zebra, Impala, etc. And if you are lucky enough, you might also find Cheetahs.

You will depart from the park by noon and start your drive back to Dar es Salaam.
