Arrival in Arusha

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and after immigration formalities, Wild Pride
Safaris’ Driver-guide will meet you and transfer you to Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you will hopefully have time to relax and prepare for your Tanzanian safari.
Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Kahawa House.

Arusha - Southern Serengeti(Ndutu)

After early breakfast, we depart from Arusha and drive directly to Ndutu, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will cross the Ngorongoro Highlands en route to Ndutu.

Between December and April, the Great Migration herds gather near the Lake Ndutu area, located between Serengeti and Ngorongoro, attracted by fresh grazing and the presence of large predators. Starting in January, the wildebeests enter their calving season.

Game drive in Southern Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a morning and afternoon game drive in Ndutu, exploring swamps, woodlands, and savannahs. This is where millions of wildebeest give birth to their calves when the great migration passes through, often with plenty of predators nearby. It also has all of the essential elements of the Serengeti's appeal, including big horizons and incredible wildlife, but without the crowds you'd share it with elsewhere.

After breakfast, depart with a packed lunch for a morning to late afternoon game drive across the vibrant Ndutu Plains, where wildlife is most active and the bush teems with life. Afterwards, journey to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at Kitela Lodge.

Karatu - Ngorongoro Crater- Arusha

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a morning to afternoon crater tour with picnic lunch.

Descend 2,000 feet into this ancient caldera, formed by a volcanic explosion millions of years ago, and explore its forests, lake, and open savannah. With around 25,000 large mammals, you'll have excellent chances to spot the Big Five, along with wildebeest, gazelles, hippos, and over 500 bird species.

Late afternoon, drive back to Arusha for your transfer to Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport for your onward journey.
