Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

At 8:00 a.m., your personal safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Arusha. From there, you'll embark on a journey to Tarangire, traveling along a tarmac road that cuts through the Masai plains. Along the way, you'll encounter Maasai individuals dressed in vibrant attire, engaging in activities like walking, cycling, herding cattle, and driving donkey carts.

Tarangire National Park is renowned for its vast elephant herds, and during your game drive with an open-roof vehicle, you'll traverse seasonal swamps, savannas, and the Tarangire River while searching for wildlife such as zebras, wildebeests, buffalos, elephants, and giraffes. You may even have the chance to spot lions on the hunt or leopards leisurely observing from the treetops.

After an extensive game drive, you'll exit the park and proceed to Natron, a beautifully situated area inhabited by troops of monkeys in the surrounding trees. Your dinner and overnight accommodations will be provided at the lodge.

Your day will commence with a departure from Karatu at 7:00 a.m., and you'll head towards Ngaresero village, specifically Lake Natron, with a packed lunch for the journey. This drive is expected to last approximately eight hours. During this trip, you'll have the opportunity to admire the awe-inspiring Ol'doinyo Lengai mountain's presence as it casts its shadow over the area. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to the lodge or camp for your overnight stay via a jeep.

Your journey will take you along Lake Natron, passing through the heart of Maasailand before reaching the Serengeti gate. This semi-arid landscape is a haven for waterbirds and serves as a crucial site for the breeding and nesting of lesser flamingos. Upon your arrival in the Serengeti, you'll embark on your first game drive as you make your way to the camp.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you'll embark on a journey to the Ngorongoro Crater for a once-in-a-lifetime safari experience. This volcanic crater is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera globally, making it a true natural wonder. Upon descending to the crater floor, your exploration will take you to Lake Magadi, a significant alkaline lake located in the southwestern corner of the crater. It's one of the crater's prominent features. Ngorongoro is renowned for its black rhino population and black-maned lions. The area also hosts vibrant flamingos and various waterbirds. You may also spot leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and numerous antelope species. Later, you'll ascend to the crater rim and make your way to your hotel in Arusha.
