Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

In the early morning, right after breakfast, our journey begins as you head to Tarangire National Park. The park derives its name from the Tarangire River which courses through its lands. During the dry season, this 'river of warthogs' stands as the sole water source for the region's wildlife.

The landscape includes pockets of dense vegetation like elephant grass and acacia woodlands. Particularly renowned for its gatherings of elephant families near the river, the park also offers sightings of giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. These creatures are closely trailed by a variety of predators, such as lions and leopards.

What's more, Tarangire National Park boasts a higher diversity of breeding bird species than any other place on Earth. Following a satisfying packed lunch, you will make your way to the accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay at Marera View or a similar option.

Ngorongoro Crater

In the early morning, following breakfast, you will set off for the Ngorongoro Crater. At first sight, the crater appears like a realm from the past. Here, you'll have the chance to witness the endangered black rhino and observe extensive lion families. The crater's formation dates back two to three million years when a massive volcano erupted and collapsed in on itself.

It has gained fame for its geological wonders and its status as a natural reserve hosting some of the highest densities of large mammals across the African continent.

The journey downward into the crater is an adventure in its own right. Upon reaching the crater floor, you'll be surrounded by abundant populations of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. Following a satisfying packed lunch, you will proceed towards Serengeti National Park for a unique wildlife experience. Your evening and overnight stay await at Into Wild Africa.

Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, your game-viewing adventure begins, with a departure around 6:30 a.m. You'll have a generous 6 to 7 hours to delve into the wonders of this extraordinary park. The Serengeti's ecosystem hosts a diverse range of wildlife, including impalas, buffaloes, crocodiles, and hippos.

However, it's most renowned for the grand spectacle of migrating herds: a quarter of a million zebras, a staggering one and a half million wildebeests, and five hundred thousand antelopes. Their migration patterns are influenced by annual rainfall, making each year unique.

Alongside the migrating herds, you might be fortunate enough to observe the predatory prowess of creatures like leopards, cheetahs, and lions. Around 2:00 p.m., you'll make your way back to Karatu, reaching your thoughtfully selected mid-range lodge. Our comfortable accommodations stand ready to embrace you, offering a night of tranquility and dreams of untamed felines. You'll spend the night at Marera View.

Lake Manyara National Park

Its name is derived from the shallow salt lake that occupies a significant seventy percent of the park's expanse.

This soda lake experiences seasonal flooding and drying, becoming a sanctuary for thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species.

During your exploration of the park, you'll encounter a range of wildlife, including monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, and, with a touch of luck, lions relaxing in trees.

The park is renowned for its varied landscapes, encompassing not only open grasslands but also woodlands teeming with primates and cliffs adorned with baobab trees. Following a satisfying packed lunch, you will make your way back to Arusha.
