Day 1

Tour Starts at Maun

Tour Starts at Maun

The Central Kalahari Game Reserve is the second-largest reserve in the world. You will be amazed by the diversity of species in this harsh environment. Get your camera ready to capture the beauty of rare and endangered bat-eared foxes trotting across the open plains. The landscape of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve is something that has also impressed a lot of photographers. It featured in geographic channels, especially the Deception Valley with its beautifully crafted ancient river valleys.

In the morning, you will be picked up by your guide from your hotel and embark on the 7-hour drive to CKGR with a stopover to enjoy a packed breakfast. Upon entering the reserve gate, you will stop to have your packed lunch before a slow game drive to your camp. After the sunset drive, you will enjoy dinner.

NB: Your camping accommodation will be in junior Sahara tents (4.5 x 2.9m) with a private veranda and bathroom with toilet and shower. All chores are handled by our staff.

Day 2

Explore Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Today, you will explore some other parts of the reserve to maximize your experience.

Wake up early for coffee, tea, juice, cereals and fruits. You will first explore Deception Pan and then stop for a packed breakfast on your way to Leopard Pan. After exploring Leopard Pan, do a slow game drive toward Sunday Waterhole and explore Sunday Pan. You will stop to enjoy your packed lunch before doing a game drive toward Deception Valley where you will stop for sundowners.

Return to the camp to freshen up before dinner. After dinner, you can sit around the fire with our staff and share experiences or go to bed.

Day 3

Drive to Maun

Drive to Maun

Today, you will drive back to Maun for a comfortable night's rest before continuing with your tour to the Okavango Delta.

Wake up for an early breakfast and do a slow game drive as you exit the park. We will drive 99km on a sandy road to Makalamabedi village with a lunch stop. After lunch, we will do the final 78km on a tarmac road to Maun. On arrival, you will be dropped off at your lodge and enjoy dinner.

Day 4

Explore Moremi Game Reserve

Explore Moremi Game Reserve

Moremi Game Reserve is situated 99km northeast of Maun, on the eastern side of the magnificent Okavango Delta. This reserve is home to a huge diversity of species and is a paradise for birders. The ecosystems within the reserve are featured in a lot of environmental documentaries and National Geographic channels. Moremi offers a unique safari experience in Africa. Come and experience this historic safari destination with us! Large herds of impalas can be seen throughout the reserve, giving the scenery a very unique view, especially during the calving season. The high grazer population in Moremi also attracts predators, especially lions and leopards.

Wake up for an early breakfast from your lodge. Your guide will pick you up for the 3-hour drive to the Moremi gate. Stop for a packed lunch in the reserve. On arrival, settle in at your camp and do an afternoon game drive. Return for a hearty dinner and sit around the fire to share the day's experiences.

Be Amazed by Moremi Game Reserve

Explore Moremi Game Reserve through more game drives.

Wake up early for coffee, tea, juice, cereals and fruits. Go for a 3 to 4-hour morning game drive to explore other parts of the reserve, depending on the sightings. Return to the camp for breakfast whereafter you can sit in the shade to read or take a nap in your tent. After lunch in the camp, you have time to relax before you head out on the afternoon sunset drive. Return for a warm dinner in the camp and then sit around the fire or retire for the night.

Day 6

Explore Khwai Community Concession

Explore Khwai Community Concession

This is one of the successful stories of community participation in conservation through the Botswana government program called Community-Based Natural Resources Management. This community concession borders Moremi and is also situated on the Eastern fringes of the famous Okavango Delta. Khwai is home to large packs of wild dogs and large herds of elephants and buffaloes. It has beautiful waterways and lagoons with a rich diversity of both aquatic and semi-aquatic species. It is here that you will explore the Okavango Delta in a traditional mokoro (dug-out canoe) with a local guide.

Wake up early for coffee, tea, juice, cereals and fruits. Do a slow game drive out of Moremi Game Reserve and head to Khwai with a stop for your packed breakfast along the way. You will be served lunch on arrival at our camping site in Khwai. You have time to freshen up before going for a mokoro adventure in the Okavango Delta. Dinner will be served in the camp on your return.

Day 7

Experience Savuti

Experience Savuti

Famously known as a predator paradise, Savuti is a remote reserve situated on the Western side of Chobe National Park. It is here that elephants were recorded hunting elephants and hyenas were seen chasing lions from their kill, hence the nickname "predator paradise". The successful predator population here keeps attracting tourists back to Savuti. Savuti is the home of the famous short-tailed male lion called Skoti. This reserve is geographically unique as well as in its species diversity.

Wake up for an early breakfast before you embark on the 2-hour drive from Khwai to Savuti gate. Upon entering the reserve, do a slow game drive across the reserve to our designated wilderness camping site. Have a stopover for a packed lunch in the reserve whereafter you drive to the camp. Settle in and freshen up before going for a short afternoon drive. You will be served dinner at the camp and can then sit around the fire and chat with our team or go to bed.

Day 9

Explore Chobe National Park

Explore Chobe National Park

Chobe National Park is home to the largest elephant population in the world. The Chobe River is the ideal place to experience these large herds of elephants as they are observed there each afternoon or evening. Masses of families come to drink and take a shower to cool off after a long day of very high temperatures.

After 5 nights of wilderness camping, you will now stay in comfortable mid-range accommodation and do your activities from here.

Wake up for an early breakfast and start your journey from Savuti to Kasane. Have a stopover for your packed lunch at Kachikau village. Do the final drive through Chobe National Park to Kasane. After exiting the park gate, you will drive less than 15 minutes to your accommodation. Freshen up on arrival and do a short sundowner drive in Kasane. Dinner will be served at the lodge whereafter you can retire for the night.

Day 10

Explore Chobe National Park

Explore Chobe National Park

Today, you will experience Chobe National Park through a game drive and a boat cruise.

Wake up early for breakfast and then drive for 15 minutes to the entrance of Chobe National Park. Upon entering the reserve, start with your game drive at the Chobe Riverfront. Have a stopover for lunch in the park and then exit the park as you head to the Boat Station in Kasane. Start your 3-hour boat cruise at 15h00 and observe the sunset. Return for dinner at your accommodation whereafter you can retire for the evening.
