Arrival in Kampala

On the first day of your 4-day Kidepo safari, you will meet our company representative and your guide at Entebbe Airport. Upon arrival, you will transfer to your hotel situated on a hill right in the heart of Uganda’s capital city—Kampala. You will check in and if time allows, set out for a tour of Kampala city sampling the highlights including the Martyrs shrine in Namugongo, Baha’i temple, Gadhafi mosque, and the crafts village.

You will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Kampala to Kidepo Valley National Park

On the second day of your 4-day Kidepo safari, you will wake up to an early morning breakfast as you prepare for the long day on the road to Kidepo. You will head northwards with brief stopovers to stretch out and lunch en-route arriving at Kidepo National Park in the evening. This is surely a long journey and can take between 8 to 9 hours. You will have dinner and a good night’s sleep at the reserved safari lodge.

Game Drive and Cultural Walk

On the third day, you will enjoy an early morning breakfast and head out into the wilderness for a game drive chancing you to encounter herds of buffaloes, zebras, elephants, and a pride of lions among other wildlife. Cheetahs are also present in Kidepo but rarely seen because of their shy nature.

You will return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will set off for a cultural walk to the Karamojong at Kapedo and Karema. You will interact and learn about their unique culture and way of life which is amazing. You will return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Road Trip Back to Kampala

On the last day, your breakfast will be served early. You will start the long journey back to Kampala with lunch. You will be arriving in Kampala late afternoon and proceed to Entebbe Airport for your onward flight.
